NEWS If your interested in getting our newsletter just drop us an email at: | CLASSES Intro to Lampwork Boro Bead Making May 31-1 or Aug 8-9 We begin class with our Orientation on lampworking basics and safety, then move on to melting glass and pulling stringers. From there we then move on to the application and forming of clear glass on the mandrel and beadmaking basics. We then cover the basic bead shapes round, tube, bi-cone, tab etc. As we progress we begin to incorporate colors and some different techniques such as dots, and zig zags. All beads can be picked up the following day or shipped for free. Class is 9:00 - 4:00 with an hour lunch. $250 one day $400.00 two day Intro to Marble Making Jun 28 & 29 We Begin Class with our Orientation on lampworking basics and safety. We then move on to melting clear glass into a marble using proper use of a marble mold, and hot and cold punty seals. As we progress we then begin to incorperate color, patterns and basic marble making techniques such as a vortex and surface patterns. Class also includes fundamentals of borosilacate colors. One day $270.00 Two days $500.00 9-4 hour lunch Fused Pendants & Earrings Class May 24 Fundamentals of fusing COE 90 Fusiable Glass, Kiln schedule and glass cutting tutorial. All materials included to make 5 pendants and 2 pair of earrings. We will also demonsrate how to apply bails or make holes to hang your earrings and pendants. Paula Tormey, a local certified PMC artist, will be offering a PMC class at the C.N.Y. Glass Studio. Explore the many ways that you can use fine silver Precious Metal Clay to create jewelry designs of your own. Students will make pendants, earrings, beads and charms. You will fully finish at least three pieces of jewelry. Techniques and projects will be demonstrated and the instructor will help you create the jewelry that you want to make. Students will experience the fun of using the newest method of working with pure silver.
