Christopher and Jacquelyn Rice are the artists behind the works brought to you by Central New York Glass Studio.

In October of 1999, Chris was introduced to lampworking in a ten-day intensive workshop in Massachusetts. Focusing on getting his own equipment he opened his studio in Jan. of 2000. He could now concentrate on the many aspects of glassblowing.

In 2002 Chris began teaching Jacquelyn. Coming from an extensive background in art, she quickly learned and finally had the chance to make a career as an artist.

Now a team of two, they bring to you a wide variety of works, from Beads and Marbles, to Goblets and Sculpture. Their love of Nature is the main influence in their creativity. Each work created by the artists is one of a kind; no molds were used in any of the processes to make the final product. Though they can create a similar piece, having been handmade, every one will be unique from another.

They have been full time lampworkes for 6 years now and have been teaching for 3 years. Thier combine talents provide and array of endless possiblities for students.

Thanks for taking the time to learn about the artists behind C.N.Y. Glass Studio. We hope that you follow their work as they continue to grow each year.
